Designers Guild Furniture: Wellington & Christchurch
Icon Textiles are working in collaboration with Christchurch based Montreux Furniture – to bring the Designers Guild Furniture to our Antipodean shores. The designs include a wide range of sofas, chairs, daybeds and modular units as well as stools and ottomans in a variety of styles – from elegant traditional to cool retro or crisp modernity. We’ve included a few pieces from our showroom below, that you can view and trial in Designmade Wellington or Christchurch – all frames can be ordered through Icon Textiles.
Milan Sofa
The Milan sofa features sleek tailored lines with supreme comfort. The sofa has generous proportions with indulgent feather-mix back cushions, Equally at home in both relaxed or more formal spaces. Sofa can be custom-made with 2.5 or 3 seats. Milan arm chair also available.
Hayward Sofa
The Hayward combines simple elegance with ultra comfort. Its tall legs and radius edges give the impression of lightness,whilst its deep feather-mix cushions, neatly held within the continual line of its base, provide a sumptuous sit.
Festival Club Chair
The Festival range is inspired by the best of 50’s Britain. A characterful shape formed by its sculptural back, combinations of angles and curves, elegant wing details and upholstered buttoning. Festival Club Chair can also be custom-made into a bench (1.5 seats).
Julep Chair
An evocation of a vintage chair that has grown into a small collection of pieces with slim, curved float-buttoned backs. The two chairs and individual bench sofa are all designed to be perfect for use in those areas of the home where space may be a little restricted.
Stitch Sofa
A contemporary twist on the chesterfield sofa, this classic model has a feature stitch detail on the upholstered arms and seat. The sculptural curved shape offers great comfort across the range of chair, sofas and stools. Sofa can be custom-made with 2.5 or 3 seats. Stitch arm chair also available.
Flute Chair
A unique, scallop design with a contemporary tuck and roll upholstered back. The sculptural form provides a comfortable sit with its high back and upholstered seat. Flute Chair can be custom-made into a bench (with 2 or 2.5 seats).

Designers Guild Furniture is only available covered in Designers Guild Group Fabrics and Tasman (NZ) Leather. Some measurements have been modified to suit New Zealand. A limited number of designs have been produced in New Zealand so far – if there is a particular design you are interested in, contact your Account Manager at Icon Textiles. Frames are sustainable Southland Beech timber with structural ply. Legs are Solid American Ash timber – polished to standard samples or to a supplied sample polish.
